Established in 1926 and endowed by Mrs Kathleen Woltmann in memory of her husband Liveryman William Arthur Woltmann (1866-1921), violinist and professor at the Royal College of Music. It was presented annually to a student of limited income - chosen by the director of violin studies. The award is now in abeyance.
