Official Commemorative Programme in aid of
The Lord Mayor's Appeal
Roger Gifford was clothed in the livery of the Worshipful Company of Musicians in 2005 (his first and therefore 'Mother' Livery Company). On 9th November 2012 he took office as the 685th Lord Mayor of London.
The following day the Lord Mayor's Show was held through the streets of the City. A commemorative Programme was produced for the event and sold to raise money for The Lord Mayor's appeal. It is provided below on a page by page basis.
After the completion of his Mayoralty he was knighted and Sir Roger continues to serve as Alderman for Cordwainer Ward. He served as Master of the Musicians Company 2016-2017. His Mayoralty was of special significance as he was the first Lord Mayor for 93 years for whom the Musicians' was his Mother Company. When Sir Edward Ernest Cooper held that distinction in 1919, he was Master of the Company at the same time!
To further celebrate Sir Roger's Mayoralty, a souvenir issue of the Company's twice yearly journal, Preserve Harmony, was printed and can be viewed by clicking on the image left.
Excluding the adverts, 52 Pages of this souvenir programme are presented below. Click on an image to load each particular page.
