On 9th July 1935 His Royal Highness Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902-1942) was presented with the Honorary Freedom of the Company during a Ceremony at Stationers' Hall.
The Company holds a copy of the Programme from this event which has been
bound into a folder (shown right) along with a copy of the Duke's speech after dinner, a few newspaper cuttings and the Table Plan of the dinner. Click on the images below of individual pages to scroll through; click on Go to link to expand further.
The Duke was killed in a plane crash over Iceland in 1942. His widow, HRH Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, was made an Honorary Freeman on 12th October 1943.
