The Lord Mayor's Composition Prize for 2017 was awarded to Mr Leo Geyer for his piece "Sideshows Suite" for Wind Quintet (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon). It's a re-imagining of various acts from his opera-ballet Sideshows and encounters Clowns, the Palm Reader, the Dancing Bear, the Bearded Lady and the Merry-Go-Round.
